How can i combine Omnath and Lands Wrath precon?

Commander Deck Help forum

Hello everyone, i got the "Lands Wrath" Commander Precon and managed to pull Omnath, Locus of Creation. I really like his powers and want him as my Commander. Does it make sense to rearrange the Precon or should i make a new Deck for him?

I want to play a lot of lands to get big creatures and trample down my opponents.

I also got some pretty strong green Creatures for Landsmatter like Ancient Greenwarden, Augur of Autumn, Ashaya, Soul of the Wild, Cultivator Colossus, Kura, the Boundless Sky, Nissa, Who Shakes the World, Wrenn and Seven and some other spells.

At last a friend supprised me with yet another Landsmater Precon from Commander Legends, wich is green/blue and has Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait as the commander. Should i buy this precon, combine both and set for Omnath as the commander or can i go with some singles to get everything in the right direction?

Thanks at all for your help and sorry for my bad english.

You can totally do that. Both precons have great cards for the strategy, and the additional cards you mentioned make perfect sense, as well.

What would be the alternative?

Thank you for your support. Are there any "must haves" for these kind of Decks, wich are not in one of those precons?

At first I thought of an Elemantal Tribaldeck. But i really like these creatures of the Deep.

The only must haves in precons are sol ring/signet/tower, and you already have those. Its more about what you like to play than what should be played once you have land search+mana fixing.

Buying singles is almost always cheaper and gets a better result overall.

Reasons not to to do singles - it can be hard to find awkward cards and get them shipped, and shipping costs can tilt things the other way if you need multiple senders.

You can load the deck into here with a copy paste like this to get an idea of the cards and prices.

The deep sea stuff has had a lot printed over the years. If you set CMC to >6 and ask for a blue creature, you'll see a lot of options from Octavia, Living Thesis to Aethersquall Ancient, its all fairly inexpensive and good for commander. There are some decent ones with hexproof/shroud/return to hand if you're tired of them getting hit by condemn and whatnot.

Lands wrath has a fairly solid spine to build on - its mostly search basic so adding islands is simple. You might want to flesh that out with more Cultivate effects and whatnot if you have trouble ramping, but thats about it.

Personally, I'd go for a spells and creature tokens landfall deck, grabbing stuff like Urban Evolution Eureka Moment, Growth Spiral and some creatures like Zimone, Quandrix Prodigy before grabbing bigger stuff like Guile or Liege of the Tangle. But I like drawing cards to make up for less big spells, and sometimes just more big cards does better.

Tank you a lot for that much input. I will get some islands+ramps in there and check my blue cards. Im happy that i already have zimone, eureka moment and aethersqual. I will post the updated lands wrath as soon as possible.

Take the time you need. Maybe link the deck here once it's uploaded, so we can have a look? Would be cool to see what you went with.

It's so funny that you mentioned this, but I did just that! Aesi is good in almost any deck, and most of the key landfall stuff exists in both. I can't say the deck is refined and has all the pieces yet (its very much a work in progress), but with the cards in both decks, Omnath, and some good interaction cards from my library its viable to at least play lots of lands, church out tokens, and generally run people over. Eventually I'll focus it more, but it doesn't take a lot of work or even an expensive mana bases (due to land fetch spells) to be at least viable.
