Hello Avatar of the Resolute, and other nonsense —Sept. 11, 2015
I dropped the Young Wolf for Experiment One (because everyone said it was a good idea) and it was not a good idea at all. The majority of my low-end creatures won't evolve Experiment One (Predator Ooze, Noble Hierarch), making him hard to function. So I'm gonna go ahead and switch back unless someone has a better one-drop to replace him with.
I also switched out Strangleroot Geist for Avatar of the Resolute and that seemed to play a little better, so I may keep that switch.
As always thanks for the assistance everyone.

Hey thanks for commenting. I'll admit I've only played it a few times as I'm not a big modern player (EDH is my format). It did fairly well agains Jund, and I imagine it would against Zoo, but Twin is probably a little trickier. I imagine with good timing, Beast Within would do it (or Mutant's Prey for that matter), but I couldn't promise you it would be competitive enough.

That's good news! I decided to take a shot at a list. What do you think of this bad boy Hardened Creatchies?

Experiment One? I'd probably cut the tanglewurms and 2 of the hydras because you could use a bit lower of a mana curve. Forced Adaptation might get you farther than Ordeal of Nylea in the long run.

I have been flirting with Experiment One and Avatar of the Resolute, but I'm not sure about the wisdom of cutting the Ordeals because this deck currently ramps insanely hard. The Tanglewurms have also helped me a lot more often than they have hurt me, so I think for now they stay. If anything I'll cut the Young Wolf/Strangelroot Geist for the Experiment/Avatar. Thanks though.

Hello there! I am wondering how this deck is fairing against decks like Jund/Zoo/Twin. Looking for a new budget-ish deck to bring to modern. Thanks!
