Throne of Eldraine —Oct. 2, 2019

With the entirety of Throne of Eldraine being spoiled, these are the three cards from the set that I feel are worth slotting into the deck, as well as the replacements I'll be making for them:

Add:

  • The Great Henge: This is a slam dunk auto-include into the deck, and will be replacing Zendikar Resurgent. While losing a Heartbeat of Spring effect is a little rough, there are so many upsides to TGH that it's a worthwhile sacrifice.

  • Fabled Passage: Getting to play yet another fetch land is only upside for us. At worst it's an Evolving Wilds, which while not ideal is still fine as this deck doesn't go off very fast. In the late game, however, it's an all-star.

  • Return of the Wildspeaker: Another way of drawing cards, this time at instant speed and not requiring a sacrifice as an additional cost? This is a slam dunk for the deck, and will tentatively be replacing Momentous Fall.
