Something I absolutely love is a story withing a story, a gaiden chapter to the main campaign. The most recent Ravnica sets have done just that with the story of Mileva of the Tenth District. She starts as a humble Tenth District Guard, eventually becoming a Tenth District Veteran. Then, Nicol Bolas invaded Ravnica, she defended her district, Tajic, Legion's Edge took notice of her prowess and gave her a Battlefield Promotion, and she became a Tenth District Legionnaire. Now, she continues her service to the district she calls home as a Tenth District Hero, Mileva, the Stalwart.
