Now with more heroics! —Dec. 8, 2014

Based on user feedback, I've dropped 3 Nyxborn Shieldmate and 1 Hero of Iroas to make room for Vanguard of Brimaz and Fabled Hero.

I am going to perform testing to see whether or not this is a beneficial change for the deck. It's a move that goes against the principle of playing an Obelisk as quickly as possible, but it bolsters the backup plan on winning on the back of heroics.

Not the best deck, but has some really good combo's in it ;)really really good as a budget deck ;)+1, i am going to use this deck to build my own since i got pretty much every card in this deck and love white decks :P

So, Fabled Hero is too high of CMC when he only costs 3? He's a soldier with heroic and double strike. What's not to like? I would honestly take out Nyxborn Shieldmate for Fabled Hero. Shield mate is good as a one drop enchantment, but you're running heroic. His bestow is 3, the same cost as hero. Granted Nyxborn Shieldmate is a soldier, he just lacks power/play-ability. The target from bestow is nice, but I don't think it's worth it. Hero also gives two devotion towards Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. That's what I have to say about Fabled Hero. He is a beast.

Also, with Hero of Iroas, a card like Ordeal of Heliod becomes insane with the combo of Sunbond. It's an instant ten counters. TEN COUNTERS!!! I'd lose Launch the Fleet because the only time it matters is late game with Obelisk of Urd and many other creatures to target. Plus ten life couldn't hurt.

I would probably replace the Nyxborn Shieldmate too. Vanguard of Brimaz is a better option considering the rest of your deck. Hell, he's even better than Hero of Iroas in your deck.

Having played the heroic thing in several forms, I've found the Falconers to be kinda junk. You can beat people down without them just fine.
