Not sure how Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth goes infinite. Rings can't copy Basalt's " : add to your mana pool" ability because of its "if it isn't a mana ability" clause, and copying its ": untap Basalt Monolith" ability is pointless because untapping something twice doesn't make it more untapped.

Is there something I'm missing?

Because all triggers go in order, it untaps and you tap it again in response to the second trigger. it is by far one of the more confusing infinites, but don't take my word, search the rulings.

Two things.

1: This deck is awesome.

2: I'd suggest replacing Darksteel Forge, Mycosynth Lattice and Mind Spring with Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Enchanted Evening and Greater Auramancy for shroud for everything, too.

What you suggest is very valid, except for that it reduces color consistency, and mind spring allows for drawing of rest of deck upon combo to play multiples of all pieces for added redundancy. Beyond that, you were spot on with the theme, and thanks for the compliment :D

this is a clever deck idea, though if you have infinite mana and color swapping you could run Future Sight and Spell Crumple for infinite counter spells but stop the opponent from drawing out

A fair idea, though i think it's for another place. It has probably been done before, but I pride myself on a deck build that i've seen nowhere else. Thanks for the support!

yeah, I suggested it because of a deck I built, then turned into this beast rip and tear eviler though I love this deck idea, as i have tried this idea before, but mine was much more complicated.
