Aristocrats!
Syr Vondam has REALLY been impressing me. It has so many strange little interactions. Sometimes it gets huge gains you a bunch of life. Sometimes its just a lil beater. Sometimes you just cash in turn 3 or later by sac a 1-drop and its token, sac Vondam, kill an anything in return. Delney makes it instanly hit 4/4 on first sac. There are lots of enchantments that exile creatures right now, and it can be kind of funny when someone exiles your Vondam, then you play another one. They try to exile the new one, which lets you destroy the first enchantment getting the first Vondam back, and it sort of becomes a loop. Otherwise, it still seems to become public enemy number 1, whenever I play it. People want to kill it ASAP before it gets big enough to take something with it. And anytime sometime is using removal on one of our value pieces over an Aristocrat or an Artist is a good Day.
It feels so important to have one of our 1 drops to make it worth hitting the turn 2 Vondam, Gourmand, Zealot, or Bloodwitch, as well as the turn 3 Delney or Seph, that I think its worth moving up to 4 Nesting Bot to have the 12 1 drops. Dropping a creature on turns 1, 2, and 3 always feels so strong.
With Lorwyn coming out, I felt Bitterbloom Bearer was such an shoe-in, I dropped in 4 annnd yeah, seems really good. No complaints aside from double black, but thats not much of an issue. Flash feels great, free bodies, really can pile up and get nutty with multiples and/or Delney.
Deck is feeling like its in a really good spot.
