DanDân is a format in which both players share a deck and a graveyard but otherwise follow the same rules of Magic. There are no deck building restrictions, but most decks follow the tradition of the original Forgetful Fish list and have 10 creatures and 80 cards.

In this version, damage can only be done by Phoenix creatures. There are plenty of removal and deck manipulation options (scry and draw) to create a dynamic back and forth experience between players.

Players share a library and graveyard, so a card on the top of your library is the card on the top of your opponent's library, and a card in your graveyard is a card in your opponent's graveyard. Removing your opponent's Phoenix puts it in the communal graveyard, giving you the opportunity to steal the creature. Conversely, playing a phoenix from your hand opens up the opportunity for your opponent to do the same.

This deck is designed to snowball into escalating danger with Chainsaws that get bigger the longer they stay in play and pump spells (Ancestral Anger) that grow as they fill the graveyard.

Past in Flames and Emergence Zone throw a wild card into things by enabling an opening of the graveyard's instants and sorceries in the late game and shaking up the timing on spells. There are a few other sneaky interactions to try out.

Caution: games are likely to end with a chainsaw wielding phoenix attack.
