As this deck inches closer to seeing play for an FNM, it seems that with each comment the deck gets more versatile. So far the deck has proved itself against Zombies, Delver, Miracles, Enchantments, Discard, and finally after some tweaking, Populate.

I agree but I think the Unsummon s and Cyclonic Rift do a better job of that. Plus Tribute to Hunger is devastating.

Should I sideboard Sever the Bloodline for use against Zombies and Populate? Or should I mainboard it?

I would consider a Temporal Mastery or 2 so if you somehow don't kill your opponent with guttersnipe then if you have talrand out then you could get some drakes then take an extra turn and then swing with all your drakes before your opponent can respond with something like Detention Sphere .
