Hello Gattison: I'm magicsheep, creator of One with Nothing: Making Unplayable Cards Playable, and you expressed interest in seeing a deck built with Derelor. I just wanted to inform you that this deck, Derelor: Making Unplayable Cards Playable has just been created and refined.

I'd say remove one Walk the Plank. You already have enough instant-speed removal.

This deck is very creative and I really like your mana curve. I think with a couple of additions, this deck could be relatively competitive at aggressive life loss in a semi-casual setting. Either way, great first deck dkehrer!
Will you have access to order specific cards, or are you only using the pool of cards from the booster packs? Informing me would help suggestion quality.

Vraska's Contempt is quality removal (for exiling big threats).

Most burn decks use Goblin Guide and Eidolon of the Great Revel. I don't think the Skyknight Legionnaire and Viashino Firstblade are worth running mainboard because they cost too much mana and are unreliable. I would replace them with Goblin Guide and Eidolon of the Great Revel. Additionally, Guttersnipe is a handy card to drain your opponent's life. Finally, Lava Spike is a strictly better shock and should replace Shock.

I'd go down 1x Dire Fleet Captain because the lack of abilities does concern me. I'd also go down 1x Daring Buccaneer. Then, I would add 2x Dire Fleet Neckbreaker. If you want a for a 2/2, use Goblin Guide even though it isn't a pirate.

So, I was looking at the Tron lands Urza's Mine, Urza's Power Plant, and Urza's Tower, and I was wondering: If I had all three Urza's Tron lands on the battlefield, could I cast a Reality Smasher or Thought-Knot Seer? My opponent says that because the Tron lands have "add " instead of , the Tron lands cannot pay for colorless mana costs. But I thought that the rules were changed so that colorless mana produced is automatically colorless...can someone please explain this to me? Thanks!

In a recent game, I played Ojutai Exemplars. An opponent played a removal spell (let's say Murder) targeting Ojutai Exemplars. In response to the casting of Murder, I cast Act of Heroism from my hand. My goal was to use the third ability of Ojutai Exemplars, which reads: "Whenever you cast a noncreaure spell, ... Exile Ojutai Exemplars, then return it to the battlefield tapped under its owner's control". My goal was to have the Ojutai Exemplars ability resolve first, then have Act of Heroism resolve, leaving me with an untapped 6/6 Ojutai Exemplars. However, my opponent says that Act of Heroism must resolve first, so Ojutai Exemplars would become tapped. Is this true?

Fine, I won't make any drivers license jokes. :D
Here are the rules of Crewing:
702.121a Crew is an activated ability of Vehicle cards. “Crew N” means “Tap any number of untapped creatures you control with total power N or greater: This permanent becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.”
702.121b A creature “crews a Vehicle” when it’s tapped to pay the cost to activate a Vehicle’s crew ability.
702.121c If an effect states that a creature “can’t crew Vehicles,” that creature can’t be tapped to pay the crew cost of a Vehicle.
According to 702.121a, "Crew is an activated ability of Vehicle cards." So, as has been said before, crewing is not an ability of the Gearshift Ace and is an activated ability of Heart of Kiran.
Hope this further answers your questions.

500destinies Thanks for the feedback! I used Jace, the Mind Sculptor mainly to modulate the opponent's draws against aggressive and midrange decks. I'm currently tuning this deck to work more against Jeskai Control in a semi-mirror matchup.
I added another Electrolyze; I'll playtest with these changes and see if this works better. I may add another copy, depending on how the deck plays.
