Dimir Artifact and/or Enchantment hate?

Modern forum

I have a Dimir Pump-Infect deck.. And a while back, I decided to splash some Red Mana to help compliment my set of Deviant Glee , and later used that to justify putting Smelt into my sideboard.. Lately however I have been tooling around with my Mana base, and now want to eliminate Smelt . Easy enough, but the result is a big gap in my sideboard against Artifacts, then I realized I still don't have any Enchantment hate either!

So the question is what kind of good Modern-friendly U/B Artifact and/or Enchantment hate is there available for A Big Scary Deck Full of Syphilis..??

Blue and black can't deal with artifacts or enchantments very well.

Yeah, green and white are the best for artifacts & enchantments. Rakdos Charm is an option to get rid of artifacts, but enchantments i can't really help. Maybe go for more generic removal like Ratchet Bomb or Engineered Explosives . Or you can go for Duress ,Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek to get rid of them before they can play them.

Play Boomerang effects and run counterspells. Problem solved. At least that's what my modern dimir does. Jace's Bouncy House

If you're gonna play UB, you're going to have to accept that your only choices for enchantment or artifact hate are artifact-based, like the Ratchet Bomb and Engineered Explosives listed above. You can always try to counter the artifacts, but that's iffy because you can't do much of anything if one gets through. Bouncing and then countering isn't very good either because you expend two cards to take out one of the opponent's cards, and playing what is presumably a control style of deck, you can't afford much in the way of card disadvantage (plus, playing a two-card combo to kill your opponents' artifacts isn't very reliable).

If you're really concerned about artifacts and enchantments...and it's not a given that you have to be, depending on the deck and your metagame...then you just have to accept that there's not much that blue or black can do about them and then look to either artifacts or splashing other colors to fix it.
