If i flash in Flickerwisp via Aether Vial can i save a planeswalker say Ajani Vengeant if his loyalty were to get to 0 because of using an ability?

in theory hed be exiled, then brought back with starting loyalty counters

am i right or am i drunk?

So.

If a planeswalker loses all its loyalty it goes to graveyard as a state based effect.

You can flash in the flickerwisp before damage is dealt to save it. However once the counters are gone it dies. And if people know you are doing this they can play around it. For example, instead of shortcutting bolting a walker they can just go "bolt your face" "OK" "Redirect damage to walker"

If I remember correctly, the planeswalker would leave the battlefield due to state-based actions, causing it to go straight to the graveyard. You wouldn't have a chance to respond to being at zero.

However, you can respond to something that would reduce the loyalty to zero, such as a Lightning Bolt on the stack, or an attack (specifically before damage).

So technically you are drunk here, just missing where the point to Flickerwisp is.

LeaPlath im not sure i understand, sorry.

so if i ult with Ajani Vengeant (-7) if he had & counters. can i flicker in to save him? or not because once the walker reaches 0 it dies.

so i guess it does work if thew walker has 1 loyalty

If you want an unlimited loyalty counters. Do a Saheeli Rai and Felidar Guardian combo.
