Yes. The triggers go onto the stack above your spell and they resolve before the spell.

This deck is a mess. You arent doing anything powerful. You arent doing anything consistantly. Your creatures are all substandard on the power curve.

Why are you playing coloured come into play tapped lands in a deck aiming to be colourless?

Hexaflexagon Why do you need flyer defence? You want to be the beatdown in most matches and what flyers are actually relevant in standard that your creature actually prevents rather than just trades with.

So this deck won't do very well as it stands because you have no way to profitably interact. Your removal is a -1/-1 counter or maybe 2. That doesn't answer a lot of threats, compared to something like Fatal Push. You also have no way to interact with combo to slow them down, or speed to race them. And no resilience versus control to survive their 2-1s etc. 20 lands isn't enough either, especially given how you have no draw, fixing or anything to let you pull ahead.

I think the idea could work though for a casual FNM level. But I also think you want to be 2-3 colours. Green is the obvious pairing colour, as Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons as she synergises quite well with Nest of Scarabs to produce multiple tokens. Devoted Druid also provides some ramp, as well as allowing you to make multiple tokens. The green also gives access to Kitchen Finks, a solid card as it is 4 life, a 3/2 and a 2/1 over multiple bodies who triggers the -1/-1 synergy. Skinrender is also a solid 4 drop that triggers your various -1/-1 counter synergy, has an OK body and kills something.

For consistency, you need a way to chain creatures together or get deeper into your deck. Evolutionary Leap could be useful if you are using persist, as a way to turn various tokens into more cards. Or if you go blue for tempo type cards, Scarscale Ritual might help as a way to trigger the abilities and draw some cards, though it requires you to have creatures on board.

For removal, go out of the gimmick into Fatal Push type stuff. Depending on your colours I can advise you on that and stuff.

Red and white don't give you much for the -1/-1 stuff, besides a combo/self protection from -1/-1 counters with Vizier of Remedies. They do however give you a bunch of decent value and sideboard cards.

Boiling Trouble 3RB

Enchantment - R

At the begining of your upkeep, put a Trouble counter on ~ then return instant or sorceries up to the number of counters from your graveyard, to your hand.

At the end of turn lose life equal to the number of counters on ~ minus the number of instants and sorceries in your graveyard.

So you can keep getting more and more back, but if you cant keep filling up your graveyard you will start to take a lot of damage.

seshiro_of_the_orochi I think the lifeloss part makes it firmly black and red. Not black or red. If it was just a regrowth x2 and gamble it could be pure red. Or had the lifeloss maybe black.

Well the discard at random is the alternative to exile really. Taken from cards like Gamble.

For other draw backs you need something to poteintally break chains.

That isnt mythic rare quality. It is barely pushing rare.

Here is my take on it to push the RB angle and push it to rare.

Recursive Cackling 2RB

Sorcery - R

Return up to three instant or sorceries from your graveyard to your hand, then discard a card at random. If an instant or sorcery was discarded this way, each opponent loses 2 life.

You arent even running playsets of the good slivers! Where is the playset of Sinew type +1/+1 slivers?

702.94e A paired creature becomes unpaired if any of the following occur: another player gains control of it or the creature its paired with; it or the creature its paired with stops being a creature; or it or the creature its paired with leaves the battlefield.

Spell Queller only exiles spells on the stack. Creatures cannot soulbond until they enter the battlefield.

n0bunga It does nothing versus Valakut decks. And against Storm it is answered by Echoing/Void/etc just like all the other hate. Tron is an OK call though, but the question is is it better than Blood Moon

ork_mcgork You say that...but I love cassette tapes and VHS :P

The cassette tape whirr is a sort of comfort, and I love listening to narrative stuff on tape. I've got the BBC Hobbit, Lord of the Rings and a few other novels on cassette tape. And I love the magnus archive because they've got that effect because in the fiction they are recording it to tape due to computers not liking the weirdness.

And video artifacts from VHS are like unf <3 I loved Kung Fury and Galak-Z because they had all those effects put in digitally and it makes me nostalgic. Plus you can do a lot of cool things with them.

But I'm also the sort of person who misses the old internet dial up sound.

So you get a lot of purists who say vinyl sounds better. I don't listen to music enough on enough different platforms to know that but with CDs and digital formats there are changes with compression and stuff. Especially MP3s.

There is also the fact you can get some really really beautiful vinyls. They do a lot more with vinyl than CDs.

I think there is also something to be said for vinyl being harder to just "have on". When you put a vinyl on, you need to have actually gone, put the disk on, set it up and set it playing and listen through the album instead of just skipping to the one song you like.

That said, I need the convenience and portability more than I need the supposed better sound quality so I will stick to my MP3s.
