I think it's for new players, but I'd rather give a new players the Hold The Line event deck than any of the Innistrad intro packs...

Exactly I'd rather teach my brother how to play with a deck that has a legit fighters chance than these jank collections of crap rares and assorted .10 cent commons

Some of the rares can be okay (Geist-Honored Monk , Mentor of the Meek ) but yeah exactly.
Plus it's not like the event decks are way more expensive, $20 vs. $13...

Erm those prices are way exaggerated. Crusader is $12 for 2 but O-ring is a common and Honor of the Pure is only $1.50 each. I know there was an intro set with 2 SFM but that's a special case.

Honor is more like $2 now and Oblivion Ring hasn't been a common since Lorwyn. You're right about the Crusader money wise though. All those are far and away a good enough reason to suggest the event deck over an intro pack though.

Yeah i think Mr. Elite Inquisitor might be getting some more play as his Vigilance and Protections and First Strike seem to be pretty important
