Multiplayer Deck

Deck Help forum

So I've decided to make a multiplayer deck with my $50 gift card from the site.

I'm not looking for specific help, just some general ideas of how to go about this since I've never built a multiplayer deck before.

Some criteria:

-Needs to be $50 or less, no more than $20 on dual-lands.

-Not an infinite combo since this is for casual play.

-Modern cards preferred just to limit myself. Might be fine with non-modern cards that have new border (eg duel decks, commander, etc).

So far I've considered Grixis control and Naya walls since they both make for fun to play, mildly competitive multiplayer decks.

Well If you decide to use green I suggest hydras. A solid choice is omnivore hydra from commander set. It deals damage equally among your opponents and is pretty nice. A older hydra from shards of alara, Feral hydra you and your teammate can just constantly boost up which is pretty nice :)

just a suggestion.

If you want to all out beat the table then a megrim deck is what you want. Just use stuff like card:Liliana's Caress, Megrim , Blightning and Burning Inquiry(no card tag, sorry)(everyone draws an discards 3 for r). The entire table dies.

Another option is a variation on soul sisters. Soul Warden and card:Soul's Attendant along with card:Ajani's Pridemate make things fairly ridiculous.

Or if you wanted to sort of "troll" everyone you could make a Lux Cannon proliferate deck.

One last option is a Glissa, the Traitor deck. Or something similar, that has a lot of staying power. Some multiplayer games get to ridiculous board positions, you want to be able to keep yourself afloat.

Once you choose an archetype, if you still want help I can help you focus further.

I might go with Ramp Defender since Vent Sentinel and Hydra Omnivore look pretty good, though I think Hydra Omnivore could use trample.

Rancor solves the trample problem. It's been reprinted in modern frame too.
