Hello. I recently built a modern deck revolving around Heartless Summoning and combo-ing off of it. The only problem is, I don't have a way to deal with Abrupt Decay. Is there anything in dimir colors that deals with this?
i considered Mindbreak Trap, but it would only be useful if i could get the 0-cost off. And that wont happen if they t2 Abrupt Decay. THey need to ban Abrupt Decay so my deck can win lol.

Link us to your deck and we might be able to find something that works. Us being the populus of TO, not myself speaking with Gollum-like pronoun tomfoolery.

When you're building a deck like H.S., you need to be conscious of the fact that you may not always have H.S. on the field. You need to build the deck in such a way as to have it still be functional without the enchantment. Obviously you're going to prefer having your enchantment out, but you don't want to insta-scoop to anyone with a Naturalize.

NobodyPicksBulbasaur--First of all, awesome name. Second, that is why i have a ton of control in my SB, including the greatest sponge of all, Spellskite.

Don't play a deck with such an obvious huge flaw. Abzan will probably be the biggest deck in modern moving forward, probably not bright to play a deck that can't beat abrupt decay.

You could bounce it to your hand with something like Into the Roil. It's unconventional, but works. Not going to protect you from a turn 2 AD though.

Thoughtseize is good, if you want to take away their Decay :)

Mindbreak Trap, but that's expensive.
Monastery Siege prolongs it.
Try giving it hexproof or something maybe? Nothing really playable in Modern that does that I fear.
