One day, I'll build a semi legit Relentless Rats deck and get four of my friends to come to fnm with me all using the same deck looool

There should be a Relentless Rats day where all people use Relentless Rats decks at fnm. Maybe I'll build a Relentless Rats deck with Warp World haha
Ugh I hate Maelstrom Pulse its OP. You can kill any planeswalker, creature, enchantment or artifact with it which is fine but the "and all other permanents with the same name" part is too brutal

Oo okay let me know how it does, I'm bringing my vampire deck back. I should get into the top 4 this time. The other two times I've played it, just screwy screwy luck...lost both times 2-1
First time and this was my first ever fnm too, lost 2-1 to grixis, I had Vampire Nocturnus out and I got mana flooded. For 4 turns the top card of my deck was a swamp...any one of those turns if it wasn't I would have won.
And the other time I lost 2-1 against Red deck wins, he took a mulligan and he had a bad hand, mine was great. He top decked into FOUR lightning bolts and 3 burst lightnings and just kept killing my creatures x.x it was so bad lol
lol sucks. yeah RDW is stinky
when i went against RDW he had 3 goblin guides in hand. i died.
Ugh that sucks, when I go against RDW I just have to bring him down to 0 faster then RDW does me. Nighthawk will always win me the game unless it's Lightning bolted and now Feast of Blood should help too

You could splash green for Vines of Vastwood . Just in case of Maelstrom Pulse . I love the name of this deck btw.lol

What's the point in Verdant Catacombs or Marsh Flats ? To make yourself lose life voluntarily? You don't have any landfall in the deck..I don't see a single logical explanation for that, even though this isn't exactly the most 'serious' of decks..
umm it helps to thin out the land in the deck, reduces chance of topdecking land, ect
...If only Thrumming Stone were still standard...

+1! Hilarious. Takes me back to the days before the four card stipulation where people won tournaments with decks full of Plague Rats . I agree with dehboy on Sign in Blood , and any card draw really. How about Temple Bell ? Conundrum Sphinx would be a laugh. And I like the idea of Liliana Vess , if you perhaps Traumatize yourself first? I agree though that pain lands aren't helping you much. Someone did some kind of research on the mana flood fixing effect and it turned out to be really negligible in a deck with 20 or so lands anyway.

I like the concept behind this deck. I'd get rid of the Marsh Flats and Verdant Catacombs and add in Sign in Blood .
