Animar, Soul of Elements, a staple Temur commander, is actually a commander that I considered pretty heavily for a previous project. Maybe he’d be good here. More creatures means more +1/+1s = cheaper creatures = more +1/+1s. Any creature-focused deck should do decently with Animar, but I worry that relying too heavily on creatures for the EDH part of the deck might make it harder to build much variation into the Tiny part of the deck. But as a Leader, Animar could be great, and he’s not a bad creature on his own. That would mean going with Yidris or non-white partners as my commander/s, and Animar as my leader, or potentially, I could have two Tiny Leader decks within my Commander deck, if I used Animar in one, and Gyrus in the other.

New commander, Illuna, Apex of Wishes, in many ways, seems like a better Maelstrom Wanderer. The cards are exiled though. I’m not sure how I feel about her. I won’t rule her out for now.

Kalamax, the Stormsire. Oooh, copying instants. I love my instants! I just don’t know if I want them to be the theme of my deck. Like Illuna, I won’t rule Kalamax just yet, but we’ll see.

Chaos of chaos, Maelstrom Wanderer. I think he could actually be a great commander for this project. A lot of the more chaosy cards are higher mana cost, so if I used Maelstrom Wanderer as my commander, it would be like using the Tiny Leaders deck in the beginning to set up for a lot of chaos later in the game, which sounds great to me. It might not work like I think, but I’m going to keep Maelstrom Wanderer pretty high on the list.

Xyris, the Writhing Storm creates a ton of snake tokens whenever my opponents draw cards. That seems like it could fit a group hug playstyle pretty well, and since EDH is usually multiplayer, using Xyris as my commander could make the second half of my EDH games pretty interesting and compliment the setup from the Tiny half of the deck. Xyris might have too heavy of a theme for this deck, but then again, I want my Tiny deck and my EDH deck to have different playstyles, so it could work quite well.

Yasova Dragonclaw is yet another great commander that could also be a leader. Yasova lets me use one of my opponent’s creatures on each of my turns, in a sense giving infinite ways to use her, but I just feel like she lacks direction. I wish there was something else in her effect that somehow changed the way creatures I gain through her effect played, like maybe a manifest effect, but then she’d probably be too strong. She’s not as unique as I generally like, but she could fit in either half, so I’ll keep Yasova around, just in case.
