Hey guys, I played competitively 20 years ago and then focussed on my career before returning to the game. I found my old cards in the loft and started trading them on CardMarket. As a result, I'm now a proud connoisseur of over 60 competitive Block Constructed decks, spanning Ice Age through to Ixalan. It has allowed me to catch up on what I've missed and tested my creativity, especially for blocks no longer officially supported by WotC.

My research led me to review Pro-tour and Grand Prix's top 16 lists to find standard or even modern decks that could be easily converted to the Block Constructed format, with surprising success. So today, I bring a Block Constructed version of Necro inspired by Leon Lindback's decklist from the very first Pro Tour, New York (1996). This deck has been updated to include the Cold Snap set released in 2006, which WotC considered the long-lost third set for Ice Age - Alliances block. You may wish to drop the Void Maw and either a Soul Burn, Soul Spike or Contagion for a more competitive version and add 2 Infernal Darkness.

We play BO1, so there are no sideboards, and if we want a game 2 or 3, we roll 60-sided dice to pick another set of decks at random. I may post my other decks, depending on demand. So if you like this, please let me know!
