Update #4 —Aug. 9, 2016
1x Drowned Catacomb out 1x Dragonskull Summit out
2x Gemstone Mine in
Reasoning: Even with all the multi-lands, I'm finding it hard sometimes to get the right combination of mana when I'm running through chaining spells off of Waste Not. Gemstone Mine should help me get there. Thought about Mana Confluence or City of Brass, but in the end, I don't think I'll want to lose the life, and three counters on the Gemstone Mines should be plenty.

Wow, Asylum Visitor could be such a gross card, haha!
I'm thinking or reworking this deck to be heavier in Red and to just splash blue for Wistful Thinking and Snapcaster Mage.
I'll put the changes in as an Update; let me know what you folks think.

What do you folks think about putting a few filter lands from Shadowmoor? I'm thinking about Sunken Ruins and Graven Cairns. What would I take out to put them in? Should I even be considering them?

You have no need for them. No double U och R in your deck. You'd be better off testing Blackcleave Cliffs or Darkslick Shores.
On another note, you really should try Kolaghan's Command. Its awesome.

The very real disadvantaged with Quest for the Nihil Stone is the "no hands" clause. It's harder to achieve then you might think.
On another notice, I played my own grixis version (http://www.mtgsalvation.com.tappedout.net/mtg-decks/lilianas-looty-is-on-fire/) of this deck yesterday and Asylum Visitorbeatdown/card advantage is very, VERY real. =)
