I for one, am excited over some of the Theros spoilers! Also, I will be quite Honest: I havent updated this deck in a while. Its not that I don't like this deck, but its definitely one of my decks that I Don't immediately go for anymore.
It's strong, but It can be boring. Essentially, just control until you assemble the Orbital Death Cannon and then blast people to pieces. It can certainly win out of nowhere if left unchecked.
But I decided to show it some love. Its not bad at all, I just dont play it as much.. So, without further ado:
Island ----------------------------> Azorius Signet:
Its odd, but I though that some more Ramp would be helpful in the deck, so I threw this in here. So far, its worked out well.
Eidolon of Countless Battles ----------------> All That Glitters:
I truly hated making this switch: I love the Eidolon, but it serves as a bit of a Non-bo: I always wanna use it for Bestow, but I always end up with it as a creature. So I have decided to make this swap, and hope that I can put the Eidolon back in later. Right now, All that Glitters is doing its job well. The goal of the deck isnt to have a ton of creatures on the board, but a small, select unit that can take things down.
Precognitive Perception, Tamiyo's Epiphany -----------------------------------> Kor Spiritdancer, Mesa Enchantress:
I needed much more card draw in this deck, as well as a few more creatures on board. With these, I can draw and churn through my deck much more quickly and consistently, as well as use my Enchantments a little more reflexively. Its been a great change as the deck is performing well.
Diplomatic Immunity -----------------------------------> Righteous Authority:
So... I have to admit, I have been frustrated with Immunity for a while. Every time it comes onto Bruna, theres always a debate about how Shroud works, and how Shroud won't let Bruna target herself with her ability, and how once its on, Bruna can't equip herself with Auras. Its become such a hassle and a rules challenge that I am making this swap to support Card Draws and make Bruna even bigger. While this may decrease the power level of the deck via lowering the shields, I am hopeful that this swap will remove any headaches going forward.
