When Brewing, Watch Out for too Much Salt —June 22, 2018
I have been practicing and playing this deck in Xmage. So far its been pretty good. Some good win streaks and some bad lose streaks like any other deck. Overall this deck has been doing good. Control match ups is generally a good thing for us same with combo. We have so much disruption that it is easy to pick apart an opponents plan. They Through the Breach an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, we can Reflector Mage or Flickerwisp or Eldrazi Displacer to prevent it from attacking. Agro definitely is our hardest match up but not as bad as i thought it would be. The biggest issue is decks that have main board artifact destruction.
But one thing i have noticed is this deck produces ALOT more quits than any of my other decks. This deck seems to go grindy and win over time. Which apparently opponents do not like to lose in a slow match up. Where they pull something they think will win them the game but a vialed in Spell Queller ruins there plan or a bounced Venser, Shaper Savant to remove a permanent of theirs at their end step.
