This is a Bant value style of deck. It abuses Aether Vial to sneak creatures into play at instant speed while keeping them hidden and avoiding counterspells. These creatures can do a variety of effects from drawing cards, countering spells or blinking our or our opponents cards. Please take some time to look at this deck and give it a try.

Name of Deck????

Why is the deck named BBC News? Well first of all the main idea of this deck was Bant Blink Control. But not only that, the idea of this deck is to get repeating effects from our cards at instant speed. Just like how news stations repeat small time stories over and over again to get ratings. The fact that the acronym actually matches with an actual news station is pretty funny as well.

Value Cards

Coiling Oracle - This 1/1 not only draws us a card, but allows us to play a land directly if hit and thus acting as ramp. In a 20 land deck this is very useful as we want to be drawing cards and playing lands whenever we can.

Wall of Omens - This 0/4 is essentially the same thing as the Coiling Oracle but does not play lands directly. But its larger body allows us to put some defenses up to delay the game enough to get our value town going.

Blade Splicer - This 1/1 creates a 3/3 First strike body. This is good as it allows us to spread wider, put a defense up that our opponents are hesitant to attack, or an attacking body. It also can act as a removal target which removes a card from our opponents hand as well as slowing down their game play.

Eternal Witness - Just a great value card to have in this deck. Can retrieve cards that were counter or killed previously. Great for blinking and bringing a fetch back as well to keep hitting land drops.

Control Cards

Spell Queller - This 2/3 has the great effect of exiling a CC4 or less spell. This slows down our opponent for a bit and puts an attacking body on the field as well. With blink effects we can make our opponents day rough and even permanently exile opponents spells. Great for countering creature decks using Cavern of Souls.

Mystic Snake - This is just a 2/2 bear with Counterspell on a stick. Generally we want our Aether Vial on three but we always want good protection and control in our hand on the ready. Mainly in this deck as a way to beat control decks.

Reflector Mage - This is a 2/3 body that bounces opponents creatures and prevents them from being cast on opponents turn. Most effective when used on our turn (opponents cant cast card of that name until our next turn) this is a great effect.

Venser, Shaper Savant - This is another Mystic Snake effect but has the added benefit of bouncing permanents as well as bouncing spells back to opponents hands. This is very great tempo play which we might be able to abuse late game. If we play and attack the players mana base and repeat bounce multiple times then we can get to a point where we just lock players out of the game.

Flicker Effects

Eldrazi Displacer - The main card we built this deck around. Has the ability to blink any other creature. All our other cards do interesting effects so having the ability to pay 3 mana and get a variety of effects is amazing at instant speed. Plus the effect is uncounterable. Pretty useful for controlling opponents creatures as well. Can even control Emrakul, the Aeons Torn to prevent it from attacking. Great against tokens as well.

Flickerwisp - Very tricky card to face and use. Can blink our own cards, temporarily remove opponents cards, and is a 3/1 flying body that can attack. Facing the Solemnity and phryexian unlife combo, remove a key piece, facing tron, remove a tron piece, facing tokens our a counters deck, remove the counters on a permanent. Very useful.

Restoration Angel - 3/4 flying body that is great for instant speed blinking. Can be a great threat in late game.
