I am wondering whether or not I should be running Mana Leak or Cancel as my hard counter (budget option, will eventually upgrade to Cryptic Command). Mana Leak is castable a turn before Cancel is, but with this deck thriving in the late game Mana leak eventually becomes useless because my opponent can pay the cost. If I can hold a Negate, Cancel, Lightning Bolt / Lightning Helix, and a Path to Exile all with at least 7 mana open and a Soulfire Grand Master on board, I have placed a hard lock on my opponent in the late game by being able to counter everything and burn them down turn by turn. I can negate any card draw to prevent them from gaining any amount of card advantage, and postboard can remove enchantments that may be allowing for card draw. Opinions?
