I just wanted to create a deck that felt like something new since standard is starting to get a new life from the recent bannings. I've never been the best at standard, but I just wanted to challenge myself and try to compete.

I really like this deck because it uses some creatures that don't see as much play like Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, Glissa, Herald of Predation, and Old Rutstein. These also pair nicely with Thalia and The Gitrog Monster by sacrificing the creature tokens created, which also does damage from Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim and Vraan, Executioner Thane. Glissa Sunslayer is nice against aggro and selesnya enchantments because have a hard time blocking. It can also be a sneaky play with Invasion of Gobakhan   because you can remove the defense counters with the last ability. I also like the Atraxa, Grand Unifier to refuel your hand. I might add another just because it's so good, but idk at the moment.

The land base is a mess due to my lack of wildcards, but it works surprisingly well. Against mono red, as long as you hold out for a bit, it can stabilize and outrace your opponents with the various first strike deathtouchers and life gain strategies. Same with the fight against soldiers and mono white humans. It's a bit of a struggle against control, so it's not perfect. However, in best of one, you don't run into control as much. Obviously I need to change the mana base, but other than that let me know of any changes you would make.
