Nothing in here's all that great. I say Mana LeechMTG Card: Mana Leech because at least that's castable with our colors.

Ugh at these picks. I second Mana LeechMTG Card: Mana Leech.

I say DespondencyMTG Card: Despondency. It can take the teeth out of a creature and is repeatable if they sacrifice the creature.

DespondencyMTG Card: Despondency is as good as removal against all the crappy creatures everyone is going to have to play with. Even though it's a creature Mana LeechMTG Card: Mana Leech is just not worth playing at all.

April 25, 2012 2:31 p.m.

DespondencyMTG Card: Despondency by a mile. Repeatable creature shutdown is boss.

DespondencyMTG Card: Despondency as decent removal -- we're playing a control deck here, so having a way to nullify a big threat repeatedly is nice. If we don't take that, I vote for the Argothian SwineMTG Card: Argothian Swine as the only actually playable card in the pack of ANY color.

I like despondancy because it's going to keep allowing us to make threats less problematic. Mana leech was appealing but I don't know of any utility lands that we should be especially worried about, and playing a guy whose sole purpose is to shut down one land seems a bit useless. I'd rather be shutting down an enemy threat with a card I can reuse once it's dead.

DespondencyMTG Card: Despondency for me.

I'll toss my vote in the DespondencyMTG Card: Despondency bandwagon.

i guess i will despondently toss my vote behind DespondencyMTG Card: Despondency but our lack of creatures at this point has become alarming!!!!!!!! Tempted to pick the Mana LeechMTG Card: Mana Leech because he is a dude at least and we need them badly.

It's true we need to keep an eye out for good creatures, but if the better cards are the non-creatures then there's no helping it. It's still pack one after all. But you're correct, we need to keep an eye out for any viable creatures soon.

Considering this is pack one, I'll go for the DespondencyMTG Card: Despondency and pray for decent creatures as the draft progresses.

Id say DespondencyMTG Card: Despondency as well, sense we already got the black de-buffs going from SickenMTG Card: Sicken...might as well toss in DespondencyMTG Card: Despondency.

There's no point having a decent number of creatures if all of them are crap 1/1's. Recurring removal is much, much better. We'll get creatures later.

HumbleMTG Card: Humble is worth consideration. It's only 1w and we already picked Path of PeaceMTG Card: Path of Peace, though i agree we should try to stay out of white as a rule

Honestly I think our gameplan is pretty funny right now. Remove everything and spire owl comes in for 20.

April 26, 2012 12:20 a.m.

That plan wins games. I've done similar with B/R in a triple DKA draft.

I find it amusing that these packs are so bad that we're getting instant consensus on what to grab. One decent card per pack GOOOO.

April 26, 2012 6:55 p.m.

Well it's that plus the colours aren't exactly spoiling us for choice...
