In my opinion, it’s like if WOTC was looking at the custom cards forum, liked one of the cards a lot, then printed a copy of it. One of their employees did something great and deserves a raise. WOTC says “oh sorry, you did a great job but we don’t have the money to give you a raise because we were printing too many universes beyond sets, so we’l give you this custom card.”

Blazing Rootwalla and Basking Rootwalla could be fun.

Delney, Streetwise Lookout is pretty ridiculous with Hare Apparent. Arabella, Abandoned Doll is good too. However, Arabella gets enough value from other cards that I prefer playing about 15-20 apparents. So Arabella if you want mostly other cards, delney if you want most cards to be hare apparent.

Unlikely that wizards would ever print this, but your saying that a one mana gain 100 life would see no play just because it blows out Afro?

Life gain started out pretty bad with Healing Salve. WOTC has been printing better versions like Chaplain's Blessing, but none of those are playable. Is there an amount of life per mana that would be playable? I’m talking about cards that are one-time use instant/sorceries, not recurring stuff. No other effects like Revitalize, just raw life gain. What’s a suitable amount that would be playable?

I’m heading to a draft in a couple of days. Azorius, dimir, and Rakdos all seem like good options. Does anybody have experience with these archetypes?

I have a The Beamtown Bullies deck that is very similar to this. Two cards you might want to consider using are Hellcarver Demon and Bronze Bombshell.
