Lotus Bloom + Muldrotha
Asked by SilentClockwork 7 years ago
Can I cast "Lotus Bloom" using "Muldrotha, the Gravetide"?
If you have a method of paying an alternate cost for a card, such as having As Foretold or Jodah, Archmage Eternal on the field, you could use it to cast Lotus Bloom from your graveyard with Muldrotha, the Gravetide, butit does require more than just Muldrotha, the Gravetide.

You can't - Muldrotha allows you to play the cards, meaning to play a land, or cast a spell. The same issue you'd have trying to cast Lotus Bloom from your hand applies here - it doesn't have a mana cost, and since you can't pay nonexistant costs, you won't be able to cast it. It'd be a different story if Muldrotha said "without paying its mana cost" (which is an alternate cost, getting around the problem), but that is not the case.
For completeness' sake, you also won't be able to use Suspend within the graveyard with Muldrotha.
