If I have a black mana doubler out for example, Crypt Ghast, does Liliana of the Dark Realms emblem then allow me to tap my Swamps for six mana or five?

I have multiple decks with Liliana of the Dark Realms in them and I have always wondered how her emblem works in relation to black mana doublers.

Crypt Ghast, Liliana of the Dark Realms

Liliana's emblem gives swamps you control an additions activated ability that allows them to tap for 4 . Crypt Ghast's mana ability will trigger and give you a fifth .

You can use double square brackets to link cards. It's the easiest way to make sure everyone reading your question knows what's going on: Crypt Ghast, Liliana of the Dark Realms.

You get 5 mana. Crypt Ghast doesn't truly "double" mana production. Like it says, it just adds one more to whatever mana the swamp is already producing. If you activate the ability granted by Liliana of the Dark Realms' emblem, you get + =

If we were instead talking about Mana Reflection, then you would get 8 mana. x 2 =

Thanks! But do I still produce if I'm using cards like Nirkana Revenant, Caged Sun, Gauntlet of Power, or Extraplanar Lens?

Yes. The ability on each of those other example cards says you get one more mana.

I just realized you might be asking a slightly different question than I thought, so I'll try to address that other one:

To "tap a land for mana" is to activate a mana ability of that land that includes in the activation cost. The ability granted by Liliana of the Dark Realms' emblem will trigger abilities that care about you tapping a land for mana.

So if I have Crypt Ghast, Nirkana Revenant, Caged Sun, Gauntlet of Power, and Extraplanar Lens plus Liliana of the Dark Realms emblem would my Snow-Covered Swamps tap for ?

Yes, that's how it will work. There are 5 instances of abilities that will each add one more to every activation, so you end up with a total of 9.
