If I steal a Thragtusk with an Act of Treason , does it re-enter the battlefield undr my control, netting me 5 life? Thanks ;).

No, it never leaves the battlefield so it cannot enter the battlefield again.

No. The battlefield is a shared zone, and nothing leaves or enters when Act of Treason resolves. The creature merely changes controllers while remaining on the battlefield.

Note that if Thragtusk leaves the battlefield while under your control, you will be the one to get the 3/3 token.

note that if you can manage to flicker it while under your control (ie Cloudshift ) you will get the life gain.

More than that. If you Cloudshift something you've Act of Treason ed, then it reenters the battlefield under your control as a new permanent - meaning that Act's "end of turn" clause doesn't apply. It's four mana and two cards to do so, but you're stealing their creature indefinitely then.

Best thing to do ever is Soul Ransom a creature, and then when your opponent discards two to get it back, Cloudshift in response. Create a 4 card difference and permanently take control of a creature. I'll be sad when it phases out of standard.

This is why my husband's Merieke Ri Berit EDH deck has cards like Cloudshift and Ghostly Flicker and Deadeye Navigator in it. He uses Merieke to steal creatures, then flickers them to keep them for good while allowing him to untap Merieke again for more theft.
