I think it would be super fun to build a competitive 5 color deck with Chromanticore , but the problem is that I have no idea where to start. I'm needing some help getting pointed in the right direction. Do you think it could be competitive at a local FNM?

It really depends on your local shop, and how competitive people are. I think it could work. Start with a basic Bant control deck, throw in mana fixing cards like Sylvan Caryatid , Mana Confluence , etc. Then add cards that will give you mana advantage like Kiora, the Crashing Wave and Courser of Kruphix . From there, you can expand the shell into a 5 color build that can reasonably support Chromanticore . It's all about your level of competition, and how much you're willing to spend. If you really want to be competitive, your land base is going to be key. You'll need lots of shocks and temples, which can be pretty expensive.

Unexpected Results + Chromanticore = Unexpected Chromanticore. It can be done.

Now that I think about it, I think I would rather play Chromantistorm (Possibility Storm + Chromanticore )

Time to get brewing!

There's one guy at the place I go who has a 5 color deck I remember advent of the wurm because they would play it amazingly and kill one of my creatures also they could play it on my end step also they would have temples and shocks open so if I played something good they could counter it. Also they would wait and bestow their chromanticore on something big so they could kill me in 2 turns I think it was master of the feast or swarmborn giant I don't know.
