Eye of Ugin vs Sanctum of Ugin

Wizards just recently spoiled a new land called Sanctum of Ugin. For those of you who don't know, the card reads:

Tap: Add 1 colorless mana to your mana pool

When you cast a colorless spell with converted mana cost 7 or greater, you may sacrifice Sanctum of Ugin. If you do, Search your library for a colorless creature card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle your library.

I feel like this will replace Eye of Ugin in tron decks. This card allows players to continue to be proactive in their gameplay allowing them to play spells like Karn Liberated and Ugin, the Spirit Dragon AND they get to search their library for a creature instead of having to spend a turn to search for a creature with Eye of Ugin. Plus it taps for mana, which Eye does not. I don't play Tron in Modern, so i'm not totally sure if this is accurate, so what do you guys think?

I play R/G tron and one thing I've noticed,in tron decks there are usually one or two flex slots for lands. Mine are Ghost Quarter and Eldrazi Temple. I dont think it will replace eye because eye does help a lot in tron but I do think it will have a place in it,at least I know I will be running it as a one of.

Eye is repeatable. New land is one and done. I don't think you want to be one and done when against midrange

I don't think so. Repeatable effects are great, and this technically taps for mana because it reduces the cost of Eldrazi.

I think this could be potentially a 1 or 2 of in Tron. It wont replace the main Eye of Ugin, but imho its definitely better than Eldrazi Temple. Though Ghost Quarters will probably stay in the main.

As excited as I am to test this card I'm beyond stoked for Void Winnower! Epic sideboard!

You could probably experiment with it as a singleton, but I'm pretty sure it's not better than Eye. It may turn out that it's busted, but even then, cutting the Eye seems like a poor idea.

Eye is just much better. Chaining Wurmcoil Engines for 14 mana is still awesome.

How would you chain Wurmcoil Engines?

seuvius, , tap Eye of Ugin: Fetch Wurmcoil. : Cast Wurmcoil. Repeat each turn until board is flooded and you're at 50+ life.

People seriously underestimate the effectiveness of a Wurmcoil Engine per turn. It's one of the best cards in RG Tron, period. This land will not replace Eye of Ugin because Eye GETS you the creature (including Wurmcoils or even spellskites even when your hand is empty at instant speed, whereas this "gets" you some creature after you cast one with CMC 7+. I mean, it doesn't even work off a Wurmcoil Engine. I don't see how this is even playable in RG Tron at all, to be honest. Maybe if it said converted mana cost 6, but still...
