Google it. Rhythic. WW5 Legendary Creature- PraetorVigilance, other creatures you control get +2/+2Creatures your opponent controls get -2/-2

So would that automatically Phyrexian Crusader?

Yes it would automatically Phyrexian Crusader. The effect doesn't target, isn't an infliction of damage, ect.

This card seems to make U/W Control hilarious. Or at least Bant Control because they will be able to ramp into it.

Shut Down Wennie Agro! XD

I might get a face palm if I'm wrong, but I think this is a casual card at best.

I don't see this one getting serious competitive play, at least not in the current meta. I can't speak for after rotation obviously.

Why ramp up for this card when you can just ramp up for Avenger of Zendikar for the win. Not to mention this guy is easily removed.

You want to make your birds awesome, use gravitational shift.

My only concern with Elesh is that her greatest strength, killing aggro decks, is offset by her casting cost. By turn 7 aggro decks will prob be pumped up with something. For example, honor of the pure. But that said, if Battlecry takes over, that only boosts attack power, temp at that, so who knows.

Elesh is a great card, very balanced for most constructed play do to her high cost.

Sadly, she seems to be following Suture Priest's W/B idea. On the one hand, this makes her more useful and deadly. On the other hand, it blends the color pie a little too much.

I would have been happy if her ability was like "Vigilance, All creatures you control have +2/+2 and vigilance," at least then she would be a deadly white aggressor without being part Black.

I love this card for W/B infect.

Wither everything you go against and suddenly those 1/1s with infect are 3/3s and those 4/4s are now ready to get pwned.

Priests of Norn as a 3/6?

YES PLZ.

I just see any reason to run this in a control build over say a card like Phyrexian Rebirth.

It is one less mana and clears the board as opposed to just crippling most creatures.

I don't mind her blending the colors a bit - in fact, that's sort of going to be the theme of this set, isn't it? The normally black Phyrexia getting "corrupted" by the other colors of mana? So having the colors all feel a little like they're supposed to be [color]/B hybrid cards makes a lot of sense, flavorfully.

It's her cost that gets me. 7 mana? That's pretty prohibitive, even for a control or ramp deck. 7 mana should probably be a game-winning creature on its own, not a supportive lord.

by the time this thing is out. theirs going to be a Beastmaster Ascension ,3 Honor of the Pure , a Flame Slash /Lightning Bolt ready, Stoic Rebuttal in hand or a Go for the Throat and so on.

March 29, 2011 5:53 p.m.

Which is why it will only be viable in Bant Decks.

i'd imagine that if you stick one of these bad boys on turn 4 anything that looks like aggro is going to be uber sad. so, yeah, bant ramp, or just plain w/g control (hahahahahahaha that would be epic if viable)

Nice card, so it's a Phyrexian card, that'll suck for my Mirrodin deck..
