So today i've just been doing as i do, browsing around the site. As usual i was scrolling on the home page checking out some peoples decks and i've got to say, you guys are great! You really are, i've seen more competitive and creative decks on here than anywhere else. So as a way to cure my boredom and further see some great decks, my question to you all is what is your favorite deck? Whether it be one that you built or maybe one you've found on the site. I just know that you all are some really creative and awesome people, and i want to see some of the stuff that you've come up with. Personally my favorite deck i've built is my deck
A Good Man Goes To War Playtest
Standard
SCORE: 111 | 9 COMMENTS | 10289 VIEWSI love it simply because it is my first really competitive deck that i've built and it's incredibly fun to play. So, what is your favorite deck and why? If at all possible please link to the deck!
This is NOT a place for you to advertise your deck. This is a chance for everyone to talk about some of their favorite decks and why they like them so much. Please hold back on using this as another "Check out my deck and +1" kind of situation, thank you all in advance.
Side note, i just submitted my newest "A Guide" article to KrazyCaley so expect to see it in the near-ish future!
Y.A.D.A., YADA, YADA Playtest
Legacy
SCORE: 5 | 10 COMMENTS | 1168 VIEWSThis happens to be my all time personal favorite in this configuration. It runs a lot of hand destruction up front, with little creature removal as the exchange. It has it's share of counters and Stoneforge Mystic
combos, True-Name Nemesis
is the finisher with Umezawa's Jitte
. It can also win with jtms ultimate, providing I keep your hand empty and board controlled with the Liliana of the Veil
and my own threats. I also love winning with Vendilion Clique
or Snapcaster Mage
on the jitte.
The sideboard does have the removal if I need it and various other answers. Ideally though my goal is to be early counter/hand destruction, drop a SFM, get a jitte, drop a threat, equip and swing till your dead or I get a TNN to continue where the other threat left off.
It just versatile and wins in many ways. This is one reason I've always liked Esper Deathblade.

My favorite deck is probably the deck that got me into competitive play:
Ack! Humans! Playtest
Modern
SCORE: 8 | 2 COMMENTS | 2281 VIEWSI loved it when it was standard, because its speed was matched only by naya blitz at the time, but it wasn't naya blitz. It was themed. What competitive decks are themed? This one.
I love it so much, I'm actually taking to a modern tourney tonight, without changing anything in it.

My favorite deck that I have ever made would have to be
Vampiric Rapehouse Playtest
Modern
SCORE: 57 | 28 COMMENTS | 7643 VIEWSI love this deck because ever since I first started playing MTG I've had a Vampire deck. I've seen my deck evolve so much in the past couple of years as I gained more and more knowledge of the game itself and the formats it has to offer. It took me a long time to get it where it is, and it still has tweaking to do, but I took a theme I enjoyed, made it to the best of its abilities while retaining a unique and competitive quality.
It's my baby <3
