Tekuthal and moving counters

Deck Help forum

I'd like to make a commander deck centered around moving the indestructible counters from Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus onto other creatures or permanents by using things such as Leech Bonder.

However, Leech Bonder seems to be the only card in blue than I can find that allows me to do this.

I don’t play Commander/EDH so I’m not sure these are legal, but The Ozolith and Fate Transfer are castable in mono

Balaam__ Fate Transfer has a color identity. Hybrid mana is weird in EDH--every mana symbol that appears on a card contributes to its color identity, and you can't use a card that uses a symbol outside of your commander's color identity.

Basically, Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus counts as a card, and Fate Transfer counts as a card.

The Ozolith is a valid suggestion, though.

Nesting Grounds is another option.

Clockspinning doesn't remve counters, but synergizes neatly with ways to move counters. Dramatist's Puppet is similar, but obviously weaker. Myojin of Cryptic Dreams and Myojin of Seeing Winds are additional sources of indestructible counters, even though they're pretty mana-heavy.

@legendofa aha…I didn’t know that. So that’s that color identity thing I see referenced once in awhile on cards then, I take it? And I’m guessing the artifact is viable because it’s colorless, or is there a different reason?

Balaam__ Exactly. Colorless cards can go in any Commander deck.

Friendly Reminder that The Ozolith does NOT remove counters, but rather adds the same exact counters onto itself. The wording on the card is a bit confusing, but the rules from Gatherer is more clear.
