Protecting Enchantments and Artifacts

Deck Help forum

Hey everyone,

I'm constructing what I'm hoping will be a Tournament competitive deck for Modern Format. I'd like to go to either the SCG Open at Richmond, VA in July or at Philly, PA in November.

Here's the link to my Mono-White Lifegain/Spawning Angels deck ---> http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/deck-of-immortality/

I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how I would protect my enchantments and artifacts for low/mid-range mana cost. I have thought about putting in Darksteel Forge, but at 9 colorless mana to play, I don't know if it would be worth it in order to protect my artifacts. Perhaps something that I could get out in at least 5 turns?

Any other suggestions for this deck are also graciously welcomed. I'm a noob to the tournament scene, but crave the competition!

Thanks one and all. :D

Greater Auramancy, and Darksteel Forge are all i can think of atm. If your worried about Mass Enchant Removal Enchanted Evening could be good for you to screw your opponents aswell.Plus Enchanted Evening + Greater Auramancy is a kinda soft lock if your opponent has no answers. I used to use Bruna, Light of Alabaster as a commander so i know there are a few more just lemme think.

Privileged Position will protect everything except itself - get 2 of them into play or a Greater Auramancy and you keep your stuff safe from direct removal completely.

Apostle's Blessing would be good spot-removal protection for your artifacts and it grant protection from artifacts too should it be relevant.

I must say that there's irony in that constructing the deck has been anything but lazy. Research, playtesting... lots of work. XD

to an extend, Cloud Cover if you are playing blue / white, also allows you to recast certain permanents.

woops...skip my remark: I just now read that you are building for Modern format. Cloud Cover is legacy. Sorry about that
