Afternoon!
So, I'm stepping into the creation of my second EDH deck, with my first being a Mono-White Angel themed one that has worked well for me in most instances. However, I keep coming across a lot of things that tend to undo what damage I have done, particularly in the realm of putting creatures in the graveyard.
I've been going through what cards I do have, and I came across Teysa, Orzhov Scion. Seeing this card, I had an idea that I would like to use, but I don't actually have enough experience or knowledge of other MtG cards to be able to pull it together as much as I would like.
The theme I was hoping to run with is simple: remove as many creatures from the game as possible.
Now, with Teysa, this isn't (in my experience) all that difficult with the right setup. But that is assuming you have some insane amount of black critters you don't mind using as cannon fodder, just so you can sac three white Spirit tokens to get rid of one of your opponent's creature cards.
Anyways, I'm just looking for help. Suggestions on what cards to use, what to avoid, etc.
Thanks for your time.
Fortunately this is EDH, so I only need to look for one of each of those cards...
But wiping the board doesn't get rid of my problem of them using an Elixir of Immortality . Admittedly, even removing creatures from the game doesn't stop them from shuffling whatever else they have in the graveyard back into their deck when they use that card, but with the crowd I play against it is really the creatures I am more concerned with. Lol.
Should I just grab as many black creatures I can? Maybe fill my deck with spells that bring out Black and White creature tokens?
Only problem is I don't know what such spells might be...
