black drain spells

What is the most efficient black spell causing target player or players to lose x life? (preferably if you also gain x life)

I personally like Profane Command, Rakdos's Return, and Debt to the Deathless. That is just me though.

Exsanguinate, by far. Especially in a multiplayer game with more than 4 people and a Cabal Coffers in play.

Suffer the Past is conditionally useful for a mana cheaper, but depends on stuff being in the graveyard and only hits one person. Doubles as instant speed grave hate.

Consume Spirit, Corrupt, and Essence Drain are a few that come to mind.
