I love the idea of Madblind Mountain but can never run it bc it etb tapped and costs a mana to activate. So i bring you:
Unstable Rift
: Add .
, pay 1 life: shuffle your library.
What do you think? Is it printable???
Shuffling takes time away from the game, so it better do something to advance one party’s victory. As your ability stands, all it really does is slow the game down - and slow down the game repeatedly as it can be used each turn.

Ok, what if it reads,
, pay 1 life: if you control a commander, shuffle your library.
.
Then it cant impact the 2 player formats where you are most concerned with delay of game.
And @TonyStark9001, there are lots of great cards that are only best if a certain card is on top of your library and shuffling is a great way to increase the efficacy of these cards. Oracle of Mul Daya and Future Sight are two examples where you may want land or nonland cards specifically on top.

You can accomplish the same thing, but better, by giving it a Scry ability. Both the Scry and Shuffle allow you to replace to top card with a different top card, but one is much faster, and isn’t completely useless if you don’t control something that allows you to check the top of your library.

i would argue that Oracle of Mul Daya and Future Sight are not actually good cards. but like caerwyn said, the same effect can be done better with scrying.

Grind, shuffling on its own is nearly useless, unless it somehow grants the player an advantage, so I agree with Caerwyn that adding scry to the ability would make it better, as such:
, pay 1 life: scry 1, then you may shuffle your library.
What do you think of that?

I agree with you all (except tonystark because oracle of mul daya is a great card), but i agree that shuffling takes too long. However scry 1 is a powerful ability: the only lands with unconditional repeatable scry are Soldevi Excavations and Castle Vantress and these abilities cost 3 and 5 mana respectively.
Also, scry is unconditionally useful. Whereas shuffling is conditionally useful. So how about this version:
Bottomless Rift
Land
: Add .
, pay 1 life: Put the top card of your library on the bottom of your library.

shuffling only helps if you know the top card. not really worth paying 1 mana and 1 life to shuffle when you could use it on a draw spell. and i can't think of anything worth playing that lets you look at the top card of your deck that doesn't also give you the option to move that card to some other zone already.
