Unexpected Windfall how is this not blowing up
I've used it super effectively in my Kardur deck. But now seshiro_of_the_orochi has turned me on to Pirate's Pillage

Hell yeah to both! & Thantis is primarily Jund chaos goodstuff who wins a surprising amount of games even though the decklist looks like nonsense. Kardur playtested well so far, may need more wincons or big swing plays like the ever-boring grey merch

I think it is an okay card it does what it is meant to do, but I would rather run cards like Thrill of Possibility since the cmc is more reasonable. Although technically the total cost of Unexpected Windfall is only two since you get two back, it requires you have four mana to begin with. In games if you get stuck at two or three mana it is just a dead card whereas Thrill of Possibility can speed you along. So overall I'd play it in some decks, but is not game changing for me

Jamesgar I think you’re right to ask; the color-fixing of this card seems to be under appreciated so far... but it is a common, as others have pointed out, so the swing won’t be as significant as it would have been if it had been uncommon or rare.

Well, it's an instant speed Pirate's Pillage, similarly to how Thrill of Possibility is an instant speed Tormenting Voice. It's a perfectly fine draw spell, but it's not particularly splashy. Maybe give it some time to make it into people's decks?
