Any Mass Creature Pump Spells For Pirates?

Commander Deck Help forum

I knew that Admiral Beckett Brass would be challenging to build around, but because there are so few pirates and because many of them do not share a creature type, cards like Shared Animosity, Coat of Arms, Kindred Charge and Door of Destinies just aren't as powerful. This type of deck also mitigates the utility of mass recursion cards like Patriarch's Bidding.

Granted, many of the pirates are human, so I could possibly build a deck based around that creature type, but because evasion is such a crucial part of my strategy, I would have to cut cards like Siren Stormtamer Dreamcaller Siren and Siren Lookout.

Are there any mass creature pump spells that would work with creatures of different types? I don't really know of any in Grixis.

Ummmm.... Pirate is a creature type. You can name "Pirate" with Patriarch's Bidding or Kindred Charge, and pirates pump eachother with Shared Animosity and Coat of Arms

I thought piracy was a career choice, not a form of life. lol I'm glad to hear that I'm wrong, but I wanted to make sure.

Just to understand, Dire Fleet Ravager would have two creature types, correct? Both orc and pirate?

Dire Fleet Ravager would have 3. Orc, Pirate, and Wizard.

I'm not going to put too much effort into optimizing Beckett Brass until at LEAST Explorers of Ixilan (the next set in the block) comes out.

I feel ya, Steelspike: there aren't a wealth of options right now, but I enjoy the challenge of creating a deck like this.

Either way, Admiral Beckett Brass isn't an OP commander by any stretch, so it'll take some work to abuse his abilities.
