Getting ready for the loss of Theros! —Sept. 3, 2015

I have recently decided to attempt to bring this deck into BFZ with us! I would very much appreciate as many suggestions for Theros block cards replacements for this deck! Thanks for all the support y'all! If you guys have any questions feel free to ask! If anyone else has a request for other budget deck builds for standard (or commander!!!) then go ahead and ask!

Thanks!!

Hey all! Sorry for not responding sooner! Been on vacay. Anyways!
This deck is definitely not going to be as strong as the new decks, personally I just recently built B/G Elves, and Mono red goblins (because Goblin Piledriver). When i made this deck, i had in mind the rotation of theros, removing some cards which partially mess this deck up (downfall- gone, presence- gone, athreos- ;( gone, and some others). Origins has brought some cards I wouldn't mind playtesting in this deck, but alas, I don't want to spend too much on this deck. Yes I have 3 playsets of Thoughtseize (long story), and yes I pulled two liliana's, but with theros out, and origins bringing in some old playstyles i love (Elves, and goblins). I decided to build mono red goblins, and even once piledriver rotates out, well awesome! Ill have a playset for modern! And elves is just too much fun to miss out on. As well as Me building my new U/R storm deck (http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/ur-storm-dont-accidentally-mill-yourself/). I feel like this deck had its days, it got me 4-0 more times than I can count at FNM, and I will miss it dearly. If you guys want I could attempt to create a good standard aggro/midrange deck similar to this in that sense, but it will probably be some sort of goblin or elf deck :). Now to address proper creatures and such: Liliana, Heretical Healer  Flip, she is an interesting idea for this deck, but with other much more powerful three drops (Arashin Foremost, Blood-Chin Fanatic, and Athreos, God of Passage) I wouldn't want to remove cards for this. Sure I can bring back 1 creature at some point, but still, I feel like its going to be a play and forget kind of card.I sure as hell ain't gonna remove a sorin to make space for her, sorin is a gamechanger in this deck. Also its very expensive right now, and even in my non budget deck I don't particularly want to spend so much money for her. I would muc rather run Thoughtseize over Liliana. But one rebuttle I do have, @ComradeJim270 I actually have yet to lose to a RDW deck, even with piledriver or any insane version of it. My budget deck cannot hold up as consistently as my actual deck can destroy most RDW decks in standard currently. As to athreos after theros rotates out, I will most likely selling him just before, or if is a very low price, just keep him in my collection for memories. If you guys have any more questions feel free to ask! I'm always happy to answer!

That's actually really surprising to me. I've never been able to beat RDW, and most W/B warriors players I've met had the same problem. I'm really curious how you beat it!

Also, if I were you I might hang onto Athreos. Gods have EDH appeal and so they will probably remain valuable. They may even increase in value over time.
