That's right... it's a mono-black version of the Radiant Lotus Decks that I've been trying to make work in standard and this is the best version yet! The Spiderman set gave us The Soul Stone as another cheap mana rock, but also Peter Parker's Camera to double up the mana created by Radiant Lotus AND an incredible place to put all that mana in Morlun, Devourer of Spiders. Not only is Morlun a way to win on the spot with all of the mana we create, it's also just an awesome ramp payoff that we can easily play for 5-7 mana in the mid game to recoup life while also putting a real threat into play. We also got Villainous Wrath on top of all that to keep the board clear while simultaneously lowering our opponent's life totals to within burn range along with a bunch of random artifact based removal and card advantage from the previous sets so the stars have really aligned to make this whacky strategy finally work. Once we get Blood Crypt reprinted there's even a good chance that we get to add Red back into the deck as well.
