Intro packs are bad mmmkay. I wanted to create decent, casual Intro Pack replacements, solely using Shadows Over Innistrad cards, while keeping with tribal theme of the block. The decks come in at under $7 on TCG player (8th June, 2016) as that is how much an intro pack costs without the boosters.
SOI Practical Precons Collection:Practical Precons
This is a RB Vampire tribal deck with a few interactions based on the Madness mechanic and counters.
Call the Bloodline serves two purposes;- Discard outlet for Madness- Use the tokens as sacrifices with Indulgent Aristocrat to pump up your real vampires-
Stensia Masquerade gives our low toughness Vampires some much needed survivability.- Combine with Rush of Adrenaline to gain trample and get those +1/+1 counters from Stensia Masquerade and Bloodmad Vampire
Heir of Falkenrath, Ravenous Bloodseeker, and Markov Dreadknight all can be used to enable our Madness cards
Incorrigble Youths should always be cast for its super cheap Madness cost
Burn from within provides some removal in the case of any threats our vampires cannot take care of through combat alone. (I know that Avacyns Judment / Lightning Axe / Fiery Temper would be better probably but I felt that they were not very thematic with the Vampire thing. Burn from within is a bit of a stretch but it does show a Vampire being burned alive. I think it is safe to say a vampire could turn someone into a Vampire and allow them to be blasted by sunlight as a bit of a combat trick. Murderous Compulsion might be okay, but then you cannot deal with untapped creatures and the art is not exactly vampiric either.)
