The Chariot is in here to provide trample for the creatures I pump up with my combo's; the Helm won't help me much in that area. As for protecting Mikaeus; in that sense the Helm could help. Thusfar though, I have never needed it in that regard for a very simple reason: I only summon Mikaeus once I can set-off a combo, so I usually only need him during the turn I summon him :):)

Triskelion has a new brother, here, in the form of Walking Ballista. Works just the same way for the Mikaeus combo.

Hi Seraph_Six,
I would totally agree Ballista would be awesome in this deck. However, every single vendor I know of in my country has completely sold out and no-one I know wants to trade one. Really annoying, but I understand of course. So, until I find one, I'm afraid I'll have to do without one. Still, thanks for the comment.

Looks fun! +1. Perhaps try Cauldron of Souls to offset Mikeaus' undying's effect. You can use Cauldron to bring back everything without a -1 counter, so after they come back with a +1 from Mikeus, tap Cauldron to save them when they die again. When the the creature comes back, you get a Mikeus trigger, so the -1 counter from Cauldron is negated with a +1 counter from Mikeaus meaning they can be reanimated once again with Mikeaus undying effect because they will no longer have counters.

Actually I'm wrong, Mikaeus doesn't give them a +1 counter when they come back, they would have to die again. So your creatures will have -1 cpunters until they die and come back with Undying. Sorry. Basically one ability will trigger when the other doesn't so you can still make it pretty hard to kill all your creatures. Sorry about that

Mikaeus is cool. I run him in my 60-card demon deck, mainly because of his synergy with sacrifice effects. One thing I can recommend is Carnifex Demon, as it comes into play with -1/-1 counters which offset the +1/+1 counter from Undying, making it practically immortal. Same goes for Grim Poppet, although that may be a bit on the costly side for what it does. Lastly, you could include Retribution of the Ancients in order to remove any +1/+1 counters from your creatures on instant speed in order to guarantee their safe return from Mikaeus' undying.

Hi He_Who_Hungers,
If possible, I'd like to keep the average CMC of this deck on the low side. Carnifex Demon and Grim Poppet both fit with the deck's strategy, but each is rather expensive to cast and I have cheaper alternatives.
I love your idea of adding Retribution. It will ensure that my creatures without persist will also be able to recur multiple times if Mikaeus is on the field. I will replace Murder with it. Many thanks for your input!

Love the build man. Perhaps a Champion's Helm over the Chariot of Victory? +1
