Looks like a fun list. How does it win?

Nevermind LabManiac_Sigi dueling scepters, duh. This deck is actually nasty, I've been testing it out and it's been nothing but fun to play.

Dickie_Smalls - Yeah, double scepter is one way to win in this deck. The main idea, however, is to draw your deck with Thrasios, then start taking infinite turns with Nexus of Fate on an empty library. This will kill people if you also have Vial Smasher out, as every Nexus of Fate cast will hit an opponent for 7 damage.

LabManiac_Sigi that's super spicy. Thanks again for the awesome list!

Sigisig, question. Why are we not using necropotence? Is it because we aren't a storm build, and or we can't just win on our endstep...like... say shimmer zur?

Is it not enough card advantage to warrant it in this deck, for the triple black we could be using to say control the board instead?

I've also noticed we only have 29 blue cards in our deck, so is misdirection really the best card slot in here as a pseudo-force of will/fork?

The last question I have atm is... viability. Where do you honestly see this on the power level scale? Is it just slightly better than normal rashmi?

I'm not using Necropotence because while it is a good CA engine, BBB is hard to cast and it has a tendency to turn into a liability in grindy games. The current engines are useful both early and later on in the game. 29 blue cards is a good bit more than most 4-colour decks are running these days, so we're fine on that end. Having another free interaction spell has been worth it so far. The deck is so much better than normal Rashmi, it's not even funny. In my personal opinion, it's the best control-oriented deck for the current cEDH meta.

Hey, where's the wincon in this list? It's missing the nexus, so I assume it wins some other way?

You win via Double Scepter or Paradox Engine + Scepter into infinite mana + draw via Thrasios. Your scepter outlets are the usual Swan Song and Assassin's Trophy, this list also has Winds of Rebuke as another outlet. If you're feeling fancy, you can also do Noxious Revival on a Scepter, recur arifacts and Nature's Claim to gain infinite life, then activate Pestilence enough times to kill everyone. If you can make infinite mana, but don't have access to any of these spells anymore, the Explosion side of Expansion/Explosion can kill two players and you can grind out the last one.

Cool, this is the thrasios control deck I was finding for a long time.A question is, there is a lot of land destruction rather than combo in my playgroup, any advice to fight against land destruction strategy?

I see we have some recent changes. Could you briefly talk about Reap ? Is it really that good of a card?

We have Regrowth now as well, and I see that Mox Amber and Rashmi, Eternities Crafter has been cut as well. I definitely understand the Rashmi cut, but I've found Mox Amber to be pretty reliable. Is it too inconsistent?

Pestilence always felt pretty clunky to me, I don't think I would miss it either. And I see we have Street Wraith now too, what's going on there?

Love the deck, I've been playing it a ton in my own local cEDH meta.

Quirrel Sorry for the late reply, I'll go over some of the card choices real quick

As long as there's consistently a black card in play (Tymna, Gitrog, Zur, etc), Reap is very good, as it lets us rebuy countermagic and gas at instant speed, and gets better the more there is. It's in testing, but it's very in line with our gameplan.

Regrowth is just a generally good card that we decided to put in, as it can just get back a valuable counterspell or double up on tutors, regular regrowth things

Street Wraith is the weird one in this bunch, we're testing it right now, but the idea is that it just deckthins one more card, and we're not using our life total a whole lot anyway, so its cost is mostly negligable.

Hope I answered your questions!

LabManiac_Sigi how does swan song work for a double-scepter win? i dont see a way to repeatably loop it unless paradox engine is in play

also, have you guys considered adding Wilderness Reclamation ? it seems like it would help with developing engines on your turn then controlling the game on everyone else's. deffinitely weaker than seedborn, but could still be work playing

Ok, what am I cutting for Narset's Reversal? I can't imagine we don't play this card.

xbento i dunno, it's mainly a better remand (at least for cEDH) right? i'm not sure that's good enough. especially since remand variants are tempo cards, and this deck doesn't really want to be running tempo as far as i can tell.
