Honestly. It sounds like a cool idea, especially if your playing casual since you'll have trouble against competitive decks with a limited card pool. If your play group allows it, I would look into adding some cards from Unstable (such as Watermarket since it is a set which corresponds well to your idea. However it won't be legal in competitions.
I would also highly advise against usingCircu, Dimir Lobotomist unless your opponents decks revolve around cards like Shadowborn Apostle or Relentless Rats since EDH is a singleton format and it's unlikely multiple players will have the same cards.
As for recommendations:
Doom Whisperer card advantage is always great Sinister Sabotage you need more counters Also I love the idea to use watermarked lands!

Maybe Cogmentor instead of the Squirrel Dealer, then. And Watermarket would help you turbo out your more expensive cards.

Seems tight, you could also include Ancient Tomb or Watermarket if you dip your copy of Spike in some water :D.
