Tom Bombadil

Legendary Creature — God Bard

As long as there are four or more lore counters among Sagas you control, Tom Bombadil has hexproof and indestructible.

Whenever the final chapter ability of a Saga you control resolves, reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a Saga card. Put that card onto the battlefield and the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order. This ability triggers only once each turn.

So, no, Tom Bombadil does not survive Austere Command specifically. However, he would survive Hour of Revelation. The reason is that Tom will be indestructible when Hour of Revelation destroys all permanents, because the spell attempts to destroy him at the same time as the sagas. The sagas will be destroyed and Tom will be left.

However, you take steps on a card in order they're written. In the case of Austere Command, it destroys all enchantments, THEN destroys all creatures with mana value 4 or greater, which means when it attempts to destroy Tom, the sagas are gone. If Austere Command had the destroy all creatures lines as its first modes, Tom Bombadil would actually survive it.

Tom Bombadil and City of Death with 4 saga counters are on the battlefield, giving him Hexproof and Indestructible.

I cast Austere Command destroying all enchantments and creatures with mana value 4 or greater.

Does Tom Bombadil survive the Austere Command as it destroys the saga enchantments?

Abilities that trigger when something resolves trigger after the spell/ability is done resolving. So Tom Bombadil will not trigger off of The Phasing of Zhalfir, but will trigger off of an Elspeth Conquers Death that returns Tom as its third chapter ability.

608.2n Once all possible steps described in 608.2c–m are completed, any abilities that trigger when that spell or ability resolves trigger.

For example: Tom Bombadil is on the battlefield and the third chapter of The Phasing of Zhalfir triggers and resolves, does Tom Bombadil see the ability resolve or not? i.e does his ability trigger?

Omaxin, The Endless Story

Legendary Enchantment Creature - Saga God

Indestructible

(As this Saga enters and after your draw step, add a lore counter)

I: Draw a card for each Saga you control.

II: Sagas you control cost less to cast until the end of your next turn.

III: Remove all Lore counters from Omaxin, the Endless Story, then it becomes a copy of target Saga you control except its name is still Omaxin, the Endless Story, it's still a creature, and it has "If this saga would be sacrificed, instead exile it and return it to the battlefield under its owners control".

7/7

Good old Tom Bombadil Sagas if you couldn't tell. Though this guy could be the commander in his own right

Create another weird saga that covers new ground.
