Thorn Thallid
Creature — Fungus
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a spore counter on Thorn Thallid.
Remove three spore counters from Thorn Thallid: Thorn Thallid deals 1 damage to target creature or player.

I'm not sure what you are referencing, so I am just going to evaluate this from the Magic perspective.
Ability one and ability two have the same problem--they don't fit in Green's slice of the colour pie (they're both Red abilities).
Green only deals damage directly to a creature in one of three ways: (1) Direct damage to creatures with flying ; (2) Fighting ; (3) One-sided fighting .
Green does not deal combat damage to players or planeswalkers, making the second ability even more problematic than the first.
(As an aside, there are some exceptions-- Bee Sting , Hornet Sting , Thorn Thallid , Unyaro Bee Sting , Unyaro Bees --but these are all older cards and Mark Rosewater has said on multiple occasions those cards are colour pie brakes).
There is nothing technically wrong with the last ability, but, from an application stance, Emblems are thus far only found on Planeswalkers. There's nothing in the rules that would prohibit a creature making an emblem, but it's still a bit of an oddity.

This was done free-for-all. Fortunately, we were few enough in number that nobody was tripping over anybody, nor were did anybody seem to feel like they couldn't get to any box they wanted to. Two digging through one box at a time didn't seem problematic, but I could see three getting old real quick.
As for strategy for me, since I knew I would be building my daughter's deck, and I knew I wanted to keep it fairly simple, I was going through mostly green, looking for ramp and big dumb creatures, meanwhile figuring I could pull any slivers to the side for my own stuff. Unfortunately, I couldn't find some of the key slivers I knew I would need (specifically Gemhide Sliver and Virulent Sliver), but I did find a chunk of Thallids (Thallid, Thorn Thallid, and Thallid Devourer, along with Night Soil) from Fallen Empires, and ended up making a Saproling deck.

You could have some diversity by adding Spore Flower for fog and Thorn Thallid for green ping. Have a great day! You could also check out my deck and they keep on dancing... for a nifty little combo. Have a splendid day!
