I would also recommend Marauding Blight-Priest , but I would like to recommend taking out Kalastria Healer and Vermin Gorger . How about switching the Gorger to another gorger: Savage Gorger . With all the pings, Ol' Savage is almost guaranteed a counter each turn. Vermin Gorger just doesn't have good hits beside Kalastria Healer ; which isn't great. Regarding the Healer, I would either swap it for Dusk Legion Zealot or; If you are counting to go into the late-game, Bloodrite Invoker could be a serious threat, pummeling for three with drain while still synergizing with the theme of the deck. If not, Dusk Legion Zealot could be a good one-shot card draw while still holding a chump. With stall-y decks like this, Withercrown doesn't seem great. Go with Cast Down instead. On that note, I feel that Paralyze is self-deprecating in this deck. With the extra mana they have, they can just pay the tax needed for Paralyze , and swing in. If you want to keep their baddies at bay, I would recommend Typhoid Rats (in the main board), a Oldie but a Goodie. The Rats do a great job on defense, and most-often trade up. (Kill a creature with a greater mana value or alternate cost.) Vampire Envoy doesn't do much in a pillow-forty deck like this, i would take it out for Sign in Blood .

Misc. Recommendation: Mesmeric Fiend / Toll of the Invasion - Both snatch your opponents best cards and leave a body, which can be a Mirror-Breaker. (Although Mesmeric Fiend is a bit risky)

Hey man, your Friendly Neighbourhood Deckbuilder here. as you requested ill be helping you with your lifegain deck today. some cards i would remove and reasons as to why.

Accursed Witch  ^Flip -for what she does (which is meh at best) she costs too much mana. too slow. Night Market Lookout bad card Opaline Unicorn way better mana rocks out there Xathrid Gorgon slow for what it wants to do. much better cards in these colours with the same cmc. Paradise Mantle dont really need it Final Reward way too expensive for what it does Pharika's Cure really weak for a hard 2B Tribute to Hunger giving your opponent a choice is most times bad. token decks exist. Unholy Hunger 5 cmc to kill one creature and a requirement to hit the incidental life gain? oof. Fate Forgotten my recommendations will render obsolete Fated Retribution better replacement recommended Visara the Dreadful Seer's Lantern meh Elbrus, the Binding Blade  ^Flip Shimmering Grotto you can stand to cut a land of two Swamp see above Vampire Envoy can do better Desecration Demon its fine but not necessary Reya Dawnbringer lets face it, great ability, but with 9 mana i hope youre doing more than waiting until your next turn for a big play... with 9 mana you wanna try to win games.

Felidar Sovereign win con Merciless Eviction probably the best boardwipe these colours can ask for Fumigate amazing wrath Suture Priest great at any point in the game Utter End fantastic removal at a fair cost Talisman of Hierarchy decent rock Gray Merchant of Asphodel life gain synonymous Erebos, God of the Dead too good not to run Vona, Butcher of Magan so much better than visara K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth best black card next to his dad Athreos, God of Passage incredibly good to keep wearing out your opponents. much better costed than reya Torment of Hailfire good game. Bolas's Citadel so beyond powerful when your life could be 300... Tainted Sigil very impressive when partnered with a big life drain spell (...if you havent already won) Bloodchief Ascension a game winner if not dealt with Test of Endurance win con Black Market gotta pump those x spells up!! Beacon of Immortality very cheeky with tainted remedy. dont use against me dawg.

you have to pick a theme to your deck, before we can help you. are you going for milling? control? discard? deathtouch? and more. it looks like you got a bunch of commons and a few uncommons but thats about it right now. i would suggest you look up some decks in your color in the pauper format, which would be near perfect for the type of cards you have. pauper format only uses the common cards. your Vampire Envoy would combo well with Zulaport Chainmage and would fit in the pauper format. Blood Tribute also works with that card for the kicker cost. to get you started

Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim and Drana's Emissary might be solid additions to this deck. Drana's Emissary looks to be a particularly good fit. In the 4 mana spot, I think you're correct that Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet would be better. I love Cliffhaven Vampire , but Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet is just sooooo much better. Even Drana, Liberator of Malakir is pretty good. It doesn't necessarily hit the theme you have, but it's pretty good. It's a bit weak (power) for what you get, but Vampire Envoy is yet another card that would fit your theme.

I pulled Vampire Envoy . Drana's Emissary is fine flyer with better static effect and the same CMC and I feel more sentimental about her :)

There are several cards that when I play don't show up. They just appear as a fully black card. I've had this happen Vampire Envoy , Oneirophage , Thundering Djinn , Spinehorn Minotaur , Fists of Flame , and Phantasmal Form .

Additionally, Champion of the Flame is registered as a 1 mana creature, and Oneirophage is put in as a 12/0, wen it should be a 1/2.

We just built my son a tribal vampire commander waiting for some cards to fill in for mana. Vampires have a lot that stacks with Sanguine Bond add in Drana's Emissary, Cliffhaven Vampire, Gifted Aetherborn and a ton more with lifelink, Sanctum Seeker which with the token spam can get crazy add in Sorin, Lord of Innistrad and Bloodline Keeper  ^Flip and Olivia Voldaren to steal creatures as vampire and attack them with their own creature. That is not even counting Vampire Envoy

All that will help stack with that combo you can have some crazy fun with Vampire tribal
